Silkscreen

What is Silkscreening?

Silkcreening is one of the three main methods Breakmark uses to customize apparel for teams. Large stencils produced from your designs are placed over fabric and ink is pressed through the gaps.

Why Choose Silkscreening?

This process is quick, cost-effective and has countless color and fabric combinations, making it a popular choice for many teams.

Designing for Silkscreening

Our normal design area for silkscreening is 12” x 12”, but we can accommodate a design area of 15” x 14” for additional costs. Breakmark prefers designs that are submitted as a vector format in either .ai, .eps, .pdf, or svg. All parts of the logo must be outlined as an object, including any text. If your design is a 1 color design, we can work with .psd files or high resolution .jpg or .gif files that are sized exactly to scale.

Please keep in mind the following when thinking about your design:

The larger your design is, the more ink it will use, and therefore the heavier it will feel. We have stock stencils for numbers, available only in a block font. We can print over a seam, but do not recommend doing it for large, detailed designs. Please feel free to contact Breakmark to discuss your specific design(s).

Timelines for Silkscreening

Normal turnaround time is approximately 15 business days from start to ship for most silkscreened orders (stock Value Package products, and designated Deluxe Package products, as well as all hoodies, jackets, hats and pants). For our designated Deluxe Package products, and all Deluxe Upgrades, please allow for a longer, 25 business day, turnaround time. If you are combining embroidery with any silkscreened gear, it can add up to another 10 business days to your time line.
